Thanks for this post, got me up and running quick when I wanted to try nginx instead of Apache. Unfortunately it also got me stuck a little while later wondering why Laravel's internal pagination won't work right and eventually noticed that the code above won't forward the query string (GET parameters, as in /news?page=3). After having another look around on the webs, I changed it to

try_files $uri $uri/ /index.php?$args;

This does it for me. I hardly know anything about nginx' configuration yet, so it might just be my set-up but I thought I'd leave this as a comment for others here.

Hey Yugo - what version of Laravel are you using? This tutorial is not written for the current version of Laravel, and many things have changed.

I was created a controller named user, and how to call it? I was try type http://localhost/laravel/public/user or something like that, it' error. :(

Thanks, I've updated the tutorial to reflect this. This is due to a change from when I wrote the tutorial to now, I need to go back and check through everything.

I will also be pushing out a few more tutorials in the near future, to coincide with the release of Laravel 3.0.

BTW ->bind doesn't seem to work, checked the docs and it is now "->with".

Don't forget to edit your application config as well, there's a setting to remove the "index.php" from generated links. ;)
